After graduating from Smt. K.G.Mittal Punarvasu College in Mumbai in 1996 Dr Kiran Pandit joined his father Dr D G Pandit , a senior Cardiothoracic surgeon at Gurukrupa Hospital, Thane working relentlessly in the hospital and assisted in management of all emergencies and OT procedures.

Along with the existing hospital services he diversified the hospital business into the onsite occupational & industrial health sector with Dr D G Pandit as the Certifying Surgeon under the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, Department of Labour, Gov. of Maharashtra. Today Gurukrupa Hospital is a preferred service provider in the field of Occupational Health to over 250 corporates and industries across many states viz. Maharashtra, Gujrat, Goa, Karnataka, Punjab, Haryana, UP, etc. Some of the major clients being Steel, Power Generation, Pharma etc.

Drug development and Research are his keen areas of interest and he has been working on developing new ayurvedic drugs for various ailments. He has completed the DHMM - Diploma in Herbal Drugs Manufacturing and Management, from IPER, Pune and was a topper in his batch. Since then he has been instrumental in developing few Ayurvedic formulations for patients suffering from TB, HIV, infertility etc.

Having worked in the hospital since the past 2 decades and having managed numerous medical emergencies and trauma cases , he had the opportunity to handle many critical cases which reached the hospital very late due to various reasons like lack of coordination among various agencies , apathy among the people in attending to trauma patients , etc resulting in increased morbidity and mortality . With a desire to learn more in the field of Emergency care and he completed PGDEMS - Post Graduation Diploma in Emergency Medical Services from LIHS and Hinduja Hospital in 2008.

He holds the international certification from AHA - American Heart Association in the field of BLS - Basic Life Support and ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He has attended many national and international conferences in this subject. Teaching is his passion. In a attempt to educate people in the importance of FIRST AID and create awareness among the general population to help and assist accident victims he has conducted more then 400 Training & Awareness Programmes in First Aid, Disaster Management & allied subjects and trained more than 50000 people.

He is actively involved with many organisations for providing medical aid to the tribal people even at remote places like Chandrapur, Jawhar, Mokhada,Wada etc and is attached with many corporates in running community health clinics as a part of their CSR activities.

The team at Gurukrupa Hospital has flexibility to meet exceptionally challenging assignments regardless of timeline, geographic locations or volumes. He has completed his M.D, i.e Post Graduation in Preventive and Social Medicine - Swasthavritta and Yoga from the prestigious Dr. D.Y. Patil University Navi Mumbai.

He is actively involved in the feild of Public Health and is also now pursuing a post doctoral programme from DHFI i.e Public Health Foundation of India.
