The year 1992 witnessed the launch of Gurukrupa Hospital, a dream project of Dr. D G Pandit, Senior cardiothoracic surgeon for providing quality health care services to the patients in and around Thane.
Dr D G Pandit graduated from GMC, Nagpur against many odds. Coming from a very simple and modest family, it was his hard work and determination that saw him through the medical college. After graduating he went on to complete his post graduation MS in general surgery and joined the Government health services. He further pursed his passion of healthcare and also completed super specialization, i.e McH in cardiothoracic surgery. He served and treated patients in the state run St George hospital, JJ hospital, in the city and various district hospitals like Karjat, Mangaoan etc.
His vision of providing quality and affordable health care to everyone in the society drove him to start his own setup and thus Gurukrupa Hospital was established. Over the years the hospital, with a very good team of consultants and dedicated staff were catering to the patients from Thane and also from far off areas.

Gurukrupa Hospital was already raising the bar, and setting new benchmarks in healthcare. Dr. Kiran Pandit initiated the process of 3rd party certification and soon GKH became the first occupational healthcare service provider way back in the year 2000.
